M&A is an activity to gain control of an enterprise through a merger or acquisition between two or more enterprises to own part or all of that enterprise.

The nature of M&A

Merger (M) is an association between same size enterprises and creates a new legal entity. All assets, mutual benefits, rights, or obligations of the merged or acquired enterprise will "return to" the merging enterprise. Two enterprises associate together for common benefits.
