What is the procedure for the application of a Certificate of Registration for Study Abroad Counseling?

When an enterprise conducts a business of overseas study consultation services, the enterprise must meet strict conditions and must proceed with the process of applying for a Certificate of registration of abroad study counseling activities at the Department of Education and Training.

1. The procedure for the application of the Certificate of registration of abroad study counseling activities

• Regulatory agency: Department of Education and Training where the business of overseas study consultation services is organized.

• Number of applications: 01 set

• Estimated time: 15-20 working days from the date of full and valid application.

• The procedure:

Step 1: Submit 01 set of documents to the Department of Education and Training where the study abroad consulting service business is located.

Step 2: The Director of the Department of Education and Training appraises the application, verifies the authenticity of the documents in the application, and issues an Enterprise Registration Certificate for abroad study consultation services; if the prescribed conditions are not met, a notification shall be sent to the study abroad consulting service organization, clearly stating the reason.

During its operation, the organization providing study abroad consultation services required the Department of Education and Training to amend and supplement the Certificate of registration of abroad study counseling service business. The procedure of adjustment and supplementation of the Certificate of registration of abroad study counseling business shall be implemented according to the above process.
